The Human Rights Crisis in Syria

Please join us for a lunch and discussion with Karen Abu Zayd, member of the U.N Commission of Inquiry into human rights in Syria and former Deputy Commissioner General of the UN Relief and Works Agency.   With over 30 years experience in refugee relief, Abu Zayd’s career in global humanitarianism gives her special insight into the current refugee crisis across Europe and the Middle East.  With the development of Russia’s intervention into the Syrian conflict and Europe’s mixed response to the refugees from Syria and other war-torn nations, we will explore how the international community can come together to address the largest crisis of its kind since World War II.
