LandUse6k is an international and interdisciplinary research group based at the University of Chicago that is dedicated to reconstructing human land use over the past 10,000 years. The goal of this initiative is to critically evaluate and improve models of anthropogenic land cover change used in local and global climate models. Led by Kathleen Morrison, Neukom Family Professor in Anthropology and the College, LandUse6k is a direct contributor to LandCover6k, a working group of PAGES (Past Global Changes).
